Plotlyx — Privacy

This page describes how Plotlyx handles data in connection with its features and functionality.

Data Sources

Plotlyx retrieves movie information and images from The Movie Database (TMDB) over HTTPS. Requests include endpoints for trending now playing search details credits and discovery by genre.

On‑Device Storage

• Caches: images may be cached in system caches or temporary directories to improve loading performance.
• Preferences: lightweight values may be stored in iOS UserDefaults (for example mini‑game history such as used posters).

Feature‑Specific Notes

• Mood Cinema uses genre‑based discovery to refresh movie lists based on the chosen mood.
• Decision Tournament creates an in‑memory pool from trending titles and advances winners locally.
• Blind Box Scratch reveals a poster image on device and can be refreshed with New Mystery.
• Movie Versus compares two titles using rating popularity and vote count from TMDB detail results.
• Share Card renders an image on device and can save to Photos or share via the iOS share sheet.

Sharing and Photos

• Share Card can export an image to the iOS Photos library when you choose “Save to Photos”.
• Sharing uses the iOS share sheet so you can select destination apps or services.

Cache Management

You can clear cached files from within the app in Settings under the storage section.
